CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN

What does mean the certificate of origin.

It is an international commercial document certifying  “the origin of goods”.  It means that the goods were exhausted {raw materials} grown up { vegetable origin} bred {animal origin} or produced in the country of exportation.

Its use.

As a document for tariff negotiation at the delivery of goods in the country of destination and /or as the document for the bill of credit payments,for the imported goods and the licence process. For example, on the basis of this document the import customs can quote the height of customs tariff – negotiated, general or  preferential.

Who issues this documents.

The Slovak Chamber  of Commerce and Industry as a public – legal institution is accredited to accomplish this activity.The activities for the  entrepreneur’ s public  are provided by the Regional office in Zilina and office in Ruzomberok.

On the basis of what rules

According to Gatt 94 – the certificate / chamber certificate/ - non –preferential origin of goods – for declaration  of negotiated tariff rate.

Criterions concerning the exported goods.

a/ The goods were full exhausted or produced in the country of origin.

b/On the production of the goods  took  a share  /participated/ two or more countries.In     the area of country  of origin came  into force the last overworking, what has causted

a new product or an  important production degree.

c/The goods have  origin in  other country , not in  Slovakia and the applicant has to submit this fact with providing of necessary documents- as foreign certificates of origin , or invoice,letter of cargo etc.

The validity of certificate of origin

This document  - certificate of origin is valid  one year.
